I can still see my toes...

Here is the view from my end. I wonder how much longer I will be able to see my toes. I think Stat is trying to figure out what is going on too.

His two year old brain is working hard...

Bode's little brain has been growing by leaps and bounds these days. It seems like every time I turn around he is doing something new and "big". He has been practicing learning to ride a tri-circle. A few more pushes to the mail box and I think he might get it.

I am not to sure what is going on in this picture. He got out a bunch of his cars and trucks and set them up like this. Car convention I guess?
He loves stacking things and lining them up in rows. It is amazing to see him grow right in front of my eyes.

My other baby...

I really like my dog. He is quite a turd, but I like him anyway. He loves to lay flay on his back. I think this is funny because his ears stick straight up and his jowls flip back. I know that having a pet is a pain but some days I am so grateful for Stat. Now that Jeremiah's work hours are a bit crazy it is nice to have a big dog around. He waits until everyone is home before he goes and lays on his blanket by me bed. He checks every room before he goes to sleep. Especially Bode's room. He has to sniff him and make sure he is asleep before I close the door.
Bode has a playgroup that he goes to every week. Which is great for me but poor Stat gets so lonely when Bode isn't around. I didn't realise they played together so much until Bode left for a few hours. Seriously Stat just wondered the house, and was so happy to see Bode come home.
Stat loves kids. But is scared of older people. When we go on walks he see kids and gets all jumpy and licks them. But with older people he growls and I have to hold him back. Plus the only times he has ferociously growled (other than at the garbage truck) at people is when they are older.

It has been a year since he got hit by a car. Crazy how time goes by so fast. Jer always wonders if he would be smarter if he hadn't got hit by a car. I am sure that the impact knock a few brain cells out of his head, so who knows maybe. All he really has to show for it though is a few scars. Not bad for a puppy to get hit by a big old Ford. I don't think we will test those odds again though.September 2007September 2008 Oh so comfy.

This is my niece Parker taking a nap on the floor. It is funny because when she is awake she is always saying "that dog is following me" "don't let him touch me" But evidently Stat liked her because he chose to take his nap right next to her.
Although I am so a cat person, I like my dog.

My house...

A friend of mine did this on her blog. And it inspired me to clean and post some of my favorite things in my house. So in no particular order here they are...

Bode's Bathroom set~

I love it. Good old Pottery Barn. But even better, Pottery Barn on Ebay for a fraction of the price. It has towels, shower curtain and bath mat. I painted the wall art work to go with it.

My beautiful leather couch and chair~

Such a great gift from a family member. We had a nice set that we bought when we were first married. But when these came around there was no way I was going to pass them up. They are so durable and kid friendly. And I also love, love, love my coffee table and end tables. Just a side note. The pillows on the couch had just about had it. I was in the process of finding fabric and new pillows to make new ones. But instead I opened them up re fluffed the stuffing and whola, just like new.

My flying pig picture~

I think this picture is so wonderful. My sister bought it for me for $27 bucks. I had come over to help her with vinyl and ended up trading my work time for this picture. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Bode's bedroom things~

I had $50 dollars to try and put together his big boy bed. Thank goodness for Target. I got the comforter set for $9.98 down from $30.00. Then the sheets for $4.98 down from $15.00. So I splurged on the other set of sheet that are super cute and of course not pictured.

Target had these two framed pictures for $8.00 a piece, down from $40.00 a piece.
My clock and Family Board~

When we bought our house in Pinetop Jeremiah said that couldn't but any home decor things. So to buy paint I had a yard sale. But one day he came home with clock. I wanted a big one for the family room and showed him it every time we went to Wal-Mart. He was so sweet and surprised me with it.

I also love my family sign. Jane Austen is my favorite font, I could put it on any vinyl project I do.

My kitchen table~

This was such a find. My mom and I went to an estate sale in Pinetop one week end and it was there. We got them to knock off $75 dollars off the price and I borrowed $400 from my mom to get it. Don't worry I paid her back a week or two later when I sold our other table, which was beautiful to, but when I came down to it, it was not kid friendly. It was pub height with white cushions on the chairs. And I had visions of peanut butter covered fingers all over them. I am so happy to have this table. It matches my coffee table and end tables.

The decorations at the top of the kitchen cabinets~

One of my favorite places to decorate is the kitchen. I love roosters, chickens, cows and stars. And to me they all go perfectly together in the kitchen. I love to go to Ross, Hobby Lobby and Real Deals to find random and inexpensive decor items.

The family picture wall~

I love these pictures, they really make the wall come together.

This chair is heaven~

A few weeks ago Jer and I went to the Goodwill and low and behold there was this chair. After carefully inspecting it for rips or suspicious smells I talked Jer into getting it. It is practically brand new. And the most comfortable seat in the house.

Another Goodwill find~

I already posted about this desk, but I still love it. A coat of paint turned gave it new life.

The new growing love in my house~

The pink stash growing in Bode's closet. The week before we found out we were having a girl we were going to yard sales. Jer and I came across one where this lady was getting rid of all her little girl clothes. Tons and tons of them! And they all looked like they had been worn once, if even that. So I picked up a bunch of super cute outfits. I figured that if I didn't get to use them my sister daughter Paisley would get to. And I love hand-me downs and a good bargain to much to pass them up. But yea I get to use them for our little girl! I did how ever buy the pink and brown onsies. The polka dot stuff in the bag is the bedding I found for $20 bucks. It is so cute! I have a soft spot in me for polka dots.

I never thought I wanted a pink bedding set, but the one I found was just was to cute and perfectly priced to pass up. But I am saving pennies to buy this fabric from the warm biscuit. I love it, and want to use it to add a little personal touch to the crib bedding.

Slippery Slide Rock...

We finally went on a trip with Kim and Nathan without any crazy "adventures". There were no bugs, the weather was great, we caught fish, and we didn't get stuck in any snow. We packed up our car with the Brooks's and their two cute little nephews to head up to Slide Rock. It was beautiful. The boys got in a little fishing before we actually headed over to slide rock. Next time we go, boys can fish and girls will shop.

I was the lucky one that tested the water first...not by choice though. I was bringing up the rear of our little group with our bag and dry towels. Lets just say I quickly remembered pregnant ladies have no balance when it comes to water, rock and walking!?! I guess. I was stepping up on to a little ledge right by the water and started to slip sideways. And rather than flop backwards into the water I "gracefully" turned around and went down a slide into about 2 feet of water. The funny thing was that there was a guy standing in the water right behind me and before I started to climb it, I joked with him that since I had the dry towels that of course I would fall in. And I did. The nice gentleman helped me out of the water and his friend helped me up the step. I personally have a bit of a sick humor and think it is hilarious when people fall down. And the sad part about this is that no one I knew saw me fall. Good thing I can laugh at myself because it was too funny. Sadly this was not the only time I lost my footing that day. But in my defense I never fell completely under, and didn't get my hair wet. It still makes me laugh just thinking about it :)

Here are the boys fishing. We did actually catch fish, although we have no documented proof of it.
Jeremiah in the freezing cold water!

Always a good time with the Brooks family.

Bode, Jordan and Kyle had a fun time with the squirt guns. They squirted everyone that walked by.

Bode was brave and went down the big slide with Jeremiah. He had fun doing it but he only did it once.

I have video of Jer and Nate going down the slide but it won't load. Maybe I will try that later.

Dear Aunt Lee...

I did a bad thing.
I love all your things so much, I just wanted to play a little bit.

I found your makeup. And made myself so pretty.

Don't worry Mom put me in time-out.

You know that moment when you think, "wow, it is too quiet in here." Well that moment was this morning. I thought Bode was playing in his room but I heard him saying "pretty Bode" so I walked around the corner and found him in the bathroom that Lee and he share. Whoops! He ruined a whole thing of cream eye shadow. And was looking at him self in the hand held mirror. I was good and tried not to laugh, but I did crack a bit of a giggle. Oh to be two years old.

Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy...

We are having a GIRL!!

We found out this morning we are having a baby girl. Jeremiah was right. The ultrasound tech said that it is definitely a girl. I have a picture that would show it, but for the privacy of a little girl we will keep it for the home photo album. I was actually surprised when she said girl, I guess since I've already had a boy I thought I would just have another one.
After the appointment we went to buy something pink, and I found some really cute onesies. And right before we were checking out I decided to swing by the bedding department becasue they had a crib set I had been eyeing for awhile and I wanted to see it it was still there. Well it was and the whole set was discounted to $20.00! So I put back the darned cute onesies and got a pink and white polka dot crib set instead. Maybe the cute pink and brown onesies another day.

Paisley

Here are a few pictures of little Paisley. Lee and I went to see her yesterday afternoon. I had a picture in my head of what she would look like in the hospital and was pleasantly surprised at how big and healthy she looked. She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday so keep her in your prayers. Jill and John are much stronger that I could ever pretend to be.
I took a little video of her getting her diaper changed and I showed it to Bode he was so sweet watching it. She was screaming, just as ferocious as her big sister Parker, and Bode kept saying, "Ohh baby" and "she crying" all sweet and concerned. He wanted to watch it a few times and on the 4 time watching it he goes "shhh quite!!" That doesn't look to good for our future.

19 week and 4 days
We are getting excited to see what we are having!
And I still have no clue...boy...girl...???

Paisley Papa

Please keep my new niece Paisley in your prayers this week. Rather than repeat what my sister has already written check out her blog for the full story and updates on Paisley's little life.

Boy or Girl... I have no idea.

We find out what we are having on Monday morning. I guess I have no maternal instinct, my mom says I get that from her, because I have no idea. I thought for sure boy at first. But then I feel so much more sick this time that I really don't know. Jeremiah had a dream we had a girl, and he has more feelings on these things then I do so who knows. Last weekend we went to some yard sales and I found a jack pot of little girl clothes. They were way to cute to pass up so I bought a few outfits. So I bet that means we will have a boy then.

I choose to only believe my bathroom scale. Here is why. I feel like the nurses in my doctors office are a bit hasty to get you on and off the scale. I weigh myself everyday so I can keep track of how much I an gaining week to week, not month to month. Because I don't know about you but it can be quite a shock to step on the scale at the doctors office and see a surprising number. Also I believe my scale because I am not wearing clothes, and you know those only add like 20 lbs right!?! This little paragraph makes it sounds like I have gained a bunch of weight. But I nope. I have gained 2 pounds in 19 weeks. I am just curious to see what my doctors office weighs me at, because I won't believe it. (Don't I sound like a crazy pregnant lady!) I guess I just really do not want to gain 70 lbs again.

Day in day out...

Well we are trying oh so hard to get into some sort of routine that goes along with Jeremiah's new work schedule. I do like having him home in the mornings, and we have thoroughly enjoyed having him for 3 day weekends. It is just all our sleep cycles that are in need of repair.

He leaves at 1:00 and I put Bode down for a nap around 1:30-2:00. Not going to lie I put myself down for a nap about the same time. Then bedtime has become a struggle with Bode. He goes in his room at about 8:00 and has quiet time to wind down for about a half an hour looking at books on his bed. Then lights out. But he keeps on getting up, all the time. So my evening consists of me putting him back in bed for an hour or so. He finally falls asleep, who knows when. Then I have a hard time falling asleep with out my hubby in bed beside me. So I stay up until I am sleepy enough to go to sleep, like 11:00. The Jer comes home anytime between 1:oo am and 4:00 am. And I can't help but get up and talk to him. You know I kinda like to talk to him. Bode has also taken to getting up and crawling in out bed 3 or 4 times a night. Which Jer and I have a strict rule of No kids in the bed. So I have been getting up to put him back in there. So to sum up, I am a zombie all day. I actually hate taking a nap during Bode's nap time because that is normally the time I have to myself. Oh well. Things can only get "better" with a newborn making its was in to our home in the not too distant future. haha.

Despite all our sleep issues. Bode has been so fun. We are working hard to talk. He has so many words, but would so much rather gibber-jabber all day. He is completely obsessed with trains. Last night we went to Ross and low and behold they had a piece to his Thomas trains. He sat in the cart the whole time hugging it and only let go of it for a second for the lady to scan it. Then he insisted on sleeping with all his trains, and in one of his early morning rendezvous into my room, he came asking for his trains. He would then only fall asleep after I placed them gently next to his pillow.

On one of Jeremiah's days off he and Bode washed the cars. Bode loves to climb in the bucket and just hang out. What a big helper. I know he doesn't look to happy in these pictures but let me tell you, he loves it and sits in there until he is pruney.
