Thanksgiving

Bode thoroughly enjoyed his Thanksgiving meal.

We made this turkey hat at story time. He was not a fan. This is us literally holding him down to take a picture.
Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

Messy, messy, messy...

Maybe I should watch this kid more often.
Yes this is what you think they are.
You would think this guy was the messy villain. but no...
It was me!!!

Catchn' some zzzzz's

Just a moment in the life of a 20 month old. Don't you wish life was this easy!

Bloomfield Bear

This is Bode's favorite toy. His official Ty name is Bloomfield Bear. We just call him Bear. He carries is around like a little friend. It reminds me of the Linus on the Charlie Brown cartoon. It was a gift from his Great Grandma Joncas before Bode was born. You can't see it in this picture but Bear in all snuggled underneath the blanket with Bode. When he naps he has to have is tucked in with him. Yesterday Bode got in bed with Jeremiah. First he tucked himself in then he pulled the covers up around his Bear.
Here is Bode playing with Bear and a little horse. He puts Bear on the back of the horse and helps him ride all over the house. Boy this kid is entertaining for me!

Ok I promise last post of the week!

This was just to funny to not blog about.

So Bode has decided that he does not need to wait around for me when he needs something. Like this morning I went over to my Mom's to play with the vinyl machine. My Mom and I were in the back room, Bode walked down the hall into the kitchen. He was in there for maybe a minute alone. My Mom calls to me to hurry and come look at Bode and this is what we found. He had helped himself to a bowl of cereal and was just eating it with a spoon.
Later he was walking around the house with a banana, no one had given him one so I went to see how he got it. He pushed a stool over to the side of the counter that the bananas sit and got one himself. Who needs mom when you can do it yourself right!?!

Family Pictures

We got some family pictures taken a few weeks ago at Fool Hollow Lake. I love the way they all turned out. Dang Bode would not sit still for a second to get a good shot of him. I am not one of those parents blessed with a picture perfect kid. I love it just the same.

Uh-Oh to many posts below!!!

The sunny side of the street?

So we had a crazy night last Saturday. It was 2 am I was sleeping Jer was playing x-box (ahhhh, that was me being mad at him for that) And I was woken up by a huge crash. So I tried to turn on the lights and there was no power. Jer and I ran out on to the porch and we saw what happened. This obviously drunk as a skunk guy in a white Chevy truck was going to fast around the curve on Porter Mountain Road and must have over corrected hit an electric pole knocked it over, then ran up in some white guard rails that protect the gas pipes.

Jer called 911. The whole time this guys is revving the engine like he was trying to get out of there. Before the cops came another car pulled up behind it the driver of the truck got in it, when they heard the cops coming they turned off their lights and sped away. It was crazy. We watched for like an hour but the guy who got in the wreck got away for the night away.

The power was out so Bode and I had to go to my moms house to get ready for church. The scary thing is that if he had one any further he would have hit the gas pipes! It would have been a huge explosion.

The electric company worked all night and by 10 on Sunday morning the power was back on. The picture in the morning doesnt show how bat it was becasue by then they had untangled the electric cords from around the truck and put the pole back in the ground.

I was a good thing that it happened when it did becasue if not, Jeremiah would have been sleeping on the couch from playing x-box too much.

A Dating Story

( My mom snapped this picture the first time Jeremiah came home with me,
my family wanted to see who he was. I was a bit embarrassed by that.)

1. Where did you meet your husband?
The institute at EAC. One of the few times I would go there during volleyball season. He was there playing basketball.

2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?

Probably hello. I know I was with a group of girls and I said something to the effect of "we are all single here" I guess that was me sneaky or not so sneaky way of telling him I was interested.

3. Where was your first date? Our first official date was a Homecoming/Halloween Dance at EAC. But we had already hung out for about a week straight before that. We actually didn't go to the dance though it looked pretty boring, instead we got hilly-b's burritos and went to the park to play on the swings.

4. Where was your first kiss? On the floor watching a movie at his apartment, I made the first move. He was a chicken.

5. Did you have a long or short engagement? Short it you count the actual day we got engaged. It was Christmas Eve and then we got married February 5.

6. Where did you get engaged? He woke me up we early in the morning. We got hot cocoa and watched the sunrise at Porter Mountain.

(This was kinda fun to do, I won't officially tag anyone but do it if you want)

Tag I'm it...

Six things about me:

1. I hate cake. Yucky, it is gross. I think I probably hate frosting on the cake more than the cake itself, and the combination of the two is disgusting.

2. I could watch TV all day, literally. I have to force myself to turn it off and do my household chores. I especially like to watch I Love Lucy re-runs, Home Improvement, and the list goes on and on. I don't want my kids to watch TV all day so I have to try extra hard to make myself turn it off.

3. I walk into a house and mentally rearrange it, even if it looks good. If there was a need for an interior designer in the White Mountains I would seriously go to school for it. But since it is not a big business up here I will just pretend to do it in my head when I go to people's homes. (sorry if this offends you)

4. I love to bargain shop. The only thing that I buy if it is not on sale is jeans, go gotta go all out on those. Other than that I love to shop the sale rack. As Jessica would call it I love to "dig" through racks of sale items and find the best thing.

5. I am the worst laundry do-er ever. I can never seem to get it done. The clothes pile in mounds everywhere and I hate it. But never enough to do to much about it. If I could have a maid all I would need her for was to do laundry and scrub tubs.

6. Some-days I stay in my pj's all day. I know I am not the only one so I don't feel to awful about this. I think I do it becasue I hate getting ready. You know shower, blow dry my hair and find something to wear. It can take so long for me. I am always impressed with my mother who stays home everyday but will get ready everyday. I really should do better for my hubby.

Happy Halloween!

Here we are. Aren't me boys good sports for pictures! We had some family pictures done on Sunday and this is about how they all turned out!
Bode and Abbey had a good time Trick-or-Treating. Abbey was a much happier girl than Bode. He really was only happy when he had a sucker in his mouth.
Bode and Dad walking around the ward parking lot.
I love this picture!! Bode stopped dead in his tracks because someone had dropped a sucker and he really wanted it.
He caught on by the end. He figured out that is was candy that he was getting and was way more into it after that. He completely opened this sucker and stuck it in without my help.
Knocking on Grandma's door.

This kid hates taking pictures!

Then we had cake for Abbey's Birthday. She is two! I can't believe it! Time flies!
Well on to the valley this weekend for the State tournament!
