What a weekend...

We had a full weekend. And it has been non stop ever since we got home. We decided to visit good old Thatcher. We met up with Jer's brother and birth dad for an afternoon. They went golfing and I watched the all-stars volleyball game at EAC. I had lunch with one of my good friends and talked with my college coach Shari. Then we went on down to St.David to visit my older brother and his family.

Chris and Jeff weren't very cooperative with taking a picture so this is the best one I got.

This is Bode being a cheese tonight. He loves being naked!! I took more but they are a little to risky for the blog. They are more like show the future daughter in law pictures.

I am way too busy this week. Volleyball getting ready to start up. We have a camp all week ending with a two day tourny. So this week i work from 7:30-11:30. I have had visit teaching appointment everyday at like 1:00 then camp from 2:00-5:00. Bode has been with my mom and a sitter everyday. It is only Tuesday and I feel like I haven't seen him at all!! I could never be one of those moms at the pre school who drop their kids off in the morning them pick them up at night. It would break my heart!!!

New Camera

So yea! We got a new camera. Jeremiah brought it to my attention that our old digital camera had 3 megapixels. Which is like the stone age of cameras. Plus the video isn't great and the batteries were dying way to fast. So we decided to get a new one. It is pretty sweet. It has 7.2 megapixels so the pictures are way better and it has some cool features built right in.

Good thing Bode is always photo ready. This is him playing in our back yard. No landscaping and a ton of weeds leads to a messy playtime. He had fun though. But he didn't like the feel of mud between his toes.

So I am notorious for taking really bad pictures. So today my sister posted one of the worst of me. (Not the very worst but dang close. Only my dear family has that one.) Anyway I figured I would get her back with this one. Granted it is not as bad as mine but it will do. Love you Jill.

I feel so luck to be married to you!! I know we are both newbies to this whole mother and father thing but I think you are doing such a wonderful job. Bode looks to you and follows your example, good thing you have set such a great one to follow. I will be forever grateful to have you in my life. I love you!!!

Hopefully Mom will show you this, because I am sure you are not a faithful blog looker yet.Just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for me. I will always be grateful that you never missed one of my games and always supported me. I am so very grateful that you have always been there for me and have set such a wonderful example for all the fathers in our family. I am so glad that we can live so close to you. It means a lot to me for my children to know their Grandpa Dave. Love you!!!

Water baby!

Here is our little stinker. This is the first time he has gotten to play in the water. He loves the hose and loves to help dad water the garden. So we decided that is has been warm enough to let him play in the water. He is a little water baby for sure. We have got to get him into a little wading pool. I think he would have a blast.

The weather is really nice up here right now. It is getting warm during the day and perfect at night. I wish we could get our yard in order so that we could play in it. But right now it is still just dirt. That is why Bode is on the sidewalk in front of our house instead of our yard.

Look-a-like

Here is Jeremiah, Bode and Me. All about a year old, give or take. We always hear comments about how much Bode looks like either one of us and we wanted to see what everyone else says. My family thinks he looks like Jeremiah and his family thinks he looks like me. He is a good mix and when all is said and done he just looks like Bode.

Gas prices...

So I am retarded. Jeremiah filled up our car all the way today. With ridiculous gas prices we rarely fill up all the way. We normally keep it around half a tank. So a full tank is rare for us. Anyway I forgot he filled it up and I was driving down the road. I always check my gauges to make sure there is oil pressure and that it isn't over heating. Just out of habit I do this because of a traumatic experience I had with an older car a few years ago. So I glance down and to my horror one of the gauges was wrong, my heart dropped and I panicked for a second. On a better look I noticed that it was just that my gas tank was full. It may not be to funny for you all but I cracked my self up. I think Bode must think I am crazy cause I was laughing so hard.

On a sad note, just for me. I almost got a new car this weekend. We wanted to get a suburban but again with gas the way it is, we wont get one until we need one. So we decided to get some kind of car. That way it would be cheaper for us to come down to the valley more often. We have the loan all set up and were just waiting for the right car to come along. I found a 2001 Jetta that I fell in love with. It was in Apache Junction, we talked with the sales person and made the deal. We were about to leave to go get it and we chickened out. Right now the only big payment we have is our mortgage. No car payments or anything and we decided to keep it that way. To bad so sad. Maybe for my birthday instead. (Someone talk Jeremiah into it.)

Not Much...

Bode playing with Stat. He has an easter basket on his head. He kept it on all evening long.

Well thing have been pretty normal around here lately. Now that Jeremiah doesn't have a jeep to work on he gets pretty bored. Bode has a cold. Bode and I stayed home from church because he was a little snot factory.

I started working about a week ago. I am teaching at a preschool a mile or so from our house. Only 4 hours a day. I have a girl from our ward come watched Bode. She is 12 and super exited about having a "summer job". I only pay her $1.50 an hour, which to me is nothing and to her she feels like she is making the big bucks. Ah to be young and have no bills.

We are working hard to get grass in our yard, and when I say we I mean Jeremiah. I for one can't rototill so the job rests on his shoulders.

Our little puppy is a sweetheart. Now that Bode is over his jealousy issues they are good pals. They chase each other around the house and Bode laughs so hard. I was going to do crate training with Stat, but he changed my mind. I brought him in from playing outside and he found a couch pillow that was on the floor and curled up on it to sleep. So I put a pillow in the laundry room where he sleeps and now he wont sleep in the crate but in various positions on the pillow.

Jeremiah's other wife has got a face lift.

Here it is, the new and improved jeep. Jeremiah has worked really hard to turn this old piece of metal into the orange-jeepn' machine. There are still a few improvements to be done. Like the grill, and lights and some rock sliders to be finished. Plus anything else he decides. But it looks really good now! I call her the other wife because if he isn't with me he is with her. Now the next project is the inside...
