... And A Happy New Year!

Sounds like everyone had a Merry Christmas. We had a good one. As much as I love the Holidays, I love to get life back to normal. It feels great to take down Christmas decorations, it makes the new year seem so fresh.
Bode was cute on Christmas morning. We thought he would love all the paper and ribbons, but he actually love all his little presents. Jeremiah got him some blocks and he pulled them all out and giggled when we would knock over the pile of blocks.

I love the glow of the Christmas tree. It makes the house feel so Christmas-ie. I kinda miss not having it up.

Last year at this time of year I was all fat and pregnant and didn't want any pictures. This year I make sure we got a few in.
This is Bode on Christmas eve. He was all worn out and so sleepy and wouldn't smile for anything.

Christmas is coming...

We had a fun weekend. Jeremiah and I went to Mesa for my friends wedding and we left Bode at his Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was really kinda fun to be just Jeremiah and I all alone. We got all of our Christmas shopping done. It was a quick trip because we had to hurry back up the mountain to go to the reception.

Bode had fun. He almost forgot who we were and was really quite content to be with his grandparents and aunt. They gave him a bath and he put his face down in the bubbles and when he came up he had a bubble beard. Look at how chubby this kid is. His is too wide for 12 month clothes but to short for 18 month clothes. He is such a chunk.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We had a fun weekend. Rena, Steve and Heather came up and we had a pre-Christmas morning. Bode got to open a few fun presents. He really likes one toy the best. It shoots little balls out the top and he sits in front of it and claps his hands and gets the goofiest smile on his face.

Bode has two little teeth on the bottom of his mouth. He is chewing on everything. They has really upset his little system. He is a little sick and over all just cranky.

This picture is so funny to me. We went to the movie Saturday night and when we came out we were hungry so Jeremiah got some McDonald's. We came home to eat, Jeremiah sat on the floors and within seconds Bode was at his feet. Bode loves to eat. He crawled up on to Jeremiah's lap and was begging for food. His newest thing is pointing with one little finger. I was trying to get it in a picture and this one came out so cute. He is pointing and sticking his tongue out at the same time. Things like this make the cranky baby OK.

Look-Alike

This is kinda fun. I was bored with house stuff today so I was playing around on the internet and came across this fun site. You put your face in and it generates your celebrity look-alike.

Not that we really look like these people but we sure got a kick out of it. If you want to check out your look-alike go to:

Merry Christmas!

We had a fun time this weekend. Last year we were moving and everything was in boxes so it was hard to really put a Christmas together. So this year we decided to really start our Christmas traditions, starting with getting our tree on December 1. Jeremiah and I dropped Bode off at my parent’s house and we went up into the woods to find our tree. It took a long time.
The snow was still fresh up there so we were in 4 wheel drive the whole time. We kept stopping, getting out, looking at trees, then getting back in; we did this for like two hours with no Christmas tree. Finally we were both ready to go and we saw one tree. Jeremiah liked it, I wasn’t so convinced, but he just cut it down anyway. We were getting ready to pull out on the main road when Jeremiah decided to make sure the tree was tied on good enough, and all we heard was “sssssssssss”. We popped our tire. We drove over a screw driver. So Jeremiah changed it then we were on our way.
We put it up later that night and although I was worried, it turned out so beautiful! I love it. We didn’t want the typical all even tree, we wanted a Charlie Brown tree and it looks so good. Bode won’t touch it. He did once and it poked him and he won’t go near it now. He just sits in front of it and claps his hands together.
Another tradition that my family has is going to the park Christmas tree lighting. It was so cold and we thought we might not go, but it is always fun so we braved the cold and went anyway. Jeremiah has been sick to he stayed home. My Mom, Lee, Bode and I went.
Bode thinks he is pretty big stuff these days. He will pull himself up on anything that will stay still.
He also cut his first tooth. We found it on Saturday morning when I was feeding him something off my finger and he bit me. We tried to get a picture but he won't let us, he just sticks his tongue out.
