Who are these people...

These are a bunch of pictures that were on my mom's computer. I wanted to have them. So in to particular order...

Jer on his mission in Washington state.

Me outside the Teller House in Silverton, CO.

At EAC. We had just gone to a football game and were going to go to a dance. We stopped by the dance for all on 10 seconds, got a refund on the tickets, it was lame. Then we used the money to get Filberto's and then went to the park to swing on the swings. Fun night.

This was in Yellowstone. I am not a big fan of fishing but was just doing what every one else was doing. We had only been there a little while. I had casted like 2 times and pulled out this big fish. These 2 men were standing close to us and they came running over. They had been fishing all day and hadn't caught a thing. I guess I am a pro fisher. Maybe I should give my husband some tips...

or not. This is a pretty good fish. If I remember correctly Jer's family lived in this neighborhood with a lake. He and his friends fished all the time.

This was Jer and his brother David in high school. Funny side story. The very first time I remember seeing Jeremiah, he and his friends were at one of my volleyball games. They really stood out because they had all painted themselves purple and gold. I remember thinking "how embarrassing". I still don't like it when people paint up their faces.

This is me and my dorm-mates from my first semester at EAC. Shaunni (Coons), Trina (Gilespie), me, and Karli (Flake).

Jeremiah and Joel

Nobody can look good in such a dorky hat.

Nice pose.

Getting ready for prom my senior year.

Basketball stud.

I love volleyball.

He was such a cute baby.

When Laine gets a little bit bigger I want to compare me and her.

This is us now.

I like us.

How does your garden grow...

ours is very small {a little planter box}

and full of rasishes {becasue they grow fast}

Bode has the same love for gardening that his Dad does. He always wants to see things grow. They had planed a seed in a little pot and Bode was very diligent in watering it evryday. But the little sprout never grew. So Jeremiah grabbed some radish seeds and they planted them in the planter box outside our front door. And just 2 days later we have little sprouts. Bode is so happy they are growing!

Haban Family

For those who don't already know, Kameron Haban lost his battle with Lupus yesterday morning. He has touched the lives of so many with his huge smile and genuine kindness, and will be missed by so many! Jami has also touched many with her amazing courage and faith throughout their ordeal. Whether you know them or not, please keep Jami and 2 1/2 year old son Kason in your prayers.

This sweet family is in need of emotional, spiritual and physical support. Kameron spent more than the last month of his life in the ICU. We are all blessed with an opportunity to help. Yesterday a bank account was opened for them. Anyone can go to any Bank of America and make a donation to the account under JamiLynn Haban for the benefit of Kameron Haban. You can also make an online donation at paypal.com by sending it to habanfundraiser@gmail.com

Jami did an amazing job of updating everyone on her blog kamandjami.blogspot.com if you would like to read more about their experience.

Please help us lend support to the Haban family during this time! Feel free to help spread the word of how to make a donation to those who you know will want to help.

*I copied this post from Lindsey Stokes. Her words are better then anything I could come up with.

Sad day...

Today was a sad day for me. We had to find a new home for Stat. We have been feeling this way for quite awhile and it finally came to a point that is needed to be done. Ever since we had Laine Stat has become very protective of me, jealous towards the kids and even aggressive towards them. He actually has nipped at Bode a few times in the past months and over the past few weeks he was just getting worst. He would stand between me and Bode with his hair raised up on his back and kind of hunch over like he was just wanting to attack. Needless to say I was very concerned for the safety of Bode and Laine. He would have days like that and then days where he was such a good dog. But I knew that I needed to take action before someone got bit. That would have been horrible.

So I contacted the Boxer rescue of Arizona, Boxerworld (a site where people are looking to adopt boxers) and I tried a long shot and contacted the lady that sold him to us. This was on Saturday. The lady that sold us him gave us a little blue paper that had his info on it. It said that for any reason you can't keep this dog please contact us first. It had been three years so it was a shot in the dark. I wrote her about our situation and she replied that she wanted to help and needed pictures. That was this morning. She wrote me back a few minutes later and said that she wanted him. I couldn't believe it. She right now has a 1 year old boxer and was looking to get another one. She and her daughter drove over here this afternoon and picked him up.

He was very happy to go with them. He was all happy and affectionate towards them. They both thought he was well behaved and looked just like his dad. I gave them his blanket and out the door they went. He just got in their car, stubby tail wagging the whole time.

I am very, very sad to see him go. I know there will be tears for a few days. But I am so relived that he gets to go to a good home. Bye Stat! I will miss your sweet stinky face!

Three guesses as to what this cute little kitchen was before it was re-purposed.

Stumped, so was I. It was this...

How fun is that. Click here to see step by step instruction on how to make this fun kitchen. One more thing to add to my "want to make" pile.
