Life never slows down...

Bode has been doing really well these days. His stye's are nearly gone. But I am afraid they are going to leave little scars. He is still a handsome little devil though. He has a ton of energy. Loves to talk, nonstop. But it never fails. I pick him up from preschool and ask him how his day was and he says "I don't really feel like talking right now." We drive home in silence, then walk through the door and her can't stop talking again. We are working hard on counting. He really has a block in the numbers area. He just has a very difficult time remembering the order of the numbers. I am hoping that soon it will just click. But for now we will just be counting everything in sight.

Laine's little personality is really coming out. She is a sweet, stubborn little thing. She is really good at going up and down the stairs. I was worrying she might take a tumble or two before she really got the hang of it, but she is a pro. She loves to tell people "HI" in the stores or wherever we go. She says it all sweet and friendly. Right when anyone goes to reciprocate her sweet HI she gives them a weird look and goes blank. She is very people shy. She is learning where her body parts are. She can find her eye, ear, nose, mouth, elbow and belly. She doesn't have to many words but can jibber-jabber with the best of them. She also looks up to her big brother so much. Anything he does she want to do. Case in point...

Here she is trying to pee in the potty like Bode. I am not actually sure if she knows what she is trying to copy. She goes in there hikes up her shirt and then looks at me like, "I don't really get this?".

Jeremiah started his new work schedule this week. I am very excited to have him home on Sunday's. I can't wait until we all can go to church together. This week Laine has been fighting off a cold and on Friday night she finally succumbed to it. She was up with a fever, nasty cough and a runny nose. So no church for the girls this week. So the boys got a spiffied up and went to church.

I am enjoying getting things back to normal. As much as possible. There are still quite a few odds and ends boxes that need to be taken care of. The laundry room and master bedroom still need to be completely unpacked and clean. Other than that, things are normal. I am just gearing up to start preschool. It has been fun pulling things together and making lesson plans. I have 4 kids, still hoping for 6, but 4 will be fun. I am very grateful for having such a normal life. Some people might think what I do is boring and tedious. And truthfully, being a stay at home mom can be at times. But for the most part I am happy with my life. I still stress over many things, money, house work, body image issues, if I am a good wife, mother, sister, friend. But I have to remind myself that I am blessed and that I can only do so much. (Ok a bit rambly here, sorry)

Alright. Hopefully I can get back to my bloggy self and get back to regular posts.

Anybody miss me...

Insert huge sigh right {here}

Wow. What a past few weeks it has been. I am so very ready for things to settle down and get back to normal. Moving sure takes it out of you. We are slowly unpacking and settling into our new house. Very slowly, that is for sure. But we are glad to be here and have more space to run and play. When things really settle down I will sit down and blog about moving, the new house, Laine and Bode. But right now it is just unpacking boxes, laundry and a bit of cleaning. And I am sure I will sneak in a nap in there somewhere :)

Do you what to hear some really good, no great, no awesome news? Of course you do!
After 3 years of working Sunday's and not having one weekend day off, Jeremiah finally has Saturday, Sunday and Monday off!! You have no idea how exciting that is for us. We can all go to the same ward, at the same time, stay the whole 3 hours and come home and have a family dinner. What an answer to prayers! This is his last week of working on Sunday then no more! Yay!

Ok I better get back to unpacking. Some of us are working hard, the younger Joncas people... not to much. They are enjoying putting their feet up, watching a bit of tv and watching the older Joncas people wear themselves out working so hard. What a wonderful life.

I thought he looked big last year...

I was wrong.
Today was the first day of preschool.
Bode was so excited to go. I set out his clothes last night on a chair after he went to bed.
This morning he came into our room fully dressed and ready to go at 6:30.

I asked Bode this morning to come over and stand by the door so we could take his picture.
He walked over and told me, "hey mom, you remember my red eagle shirt? I weared it last year for my picture". I was like yeah, sure Bode. And sure enough. Last year he wore a red eagle shirt.
Bode was super proud of picking out his shoes this year. He said they make him run so, so fast.

See, 2 eagle shirts. Not on purpose, just a weird coincidence.
He looks like such a boy :)

6 times...

Jeremiah and I have been married for 5 1/2 years. In that 5 1/2 years we have moved 5 times. Now we are gearing up for move number 6. Don't worry we aren't moving far, just a few streets over. After 2 years on this house we decided that it is time to get a little more space and more importantly a back yard. I am also really excited to have carpet. Yes, carpet. I know that may sounds weird but for the last 2 years we have been living in a house that has tile in every single room. It is because the previous owners have allergies and took out all the carpet. It was great because I never had to worry about stains or ruining carpet but I was always worried about kids falling and breaking a bone on unforgiving tile. Plus Laine is such a climber. I was/am dreading the day she learns how  to climb out of her crib. That first fall on to the floor is shock enough, but can you imagine falling on to a tile floor? Ouch, that could be an ER trip.

We have 2 weeks to pack everything up and get out. Bode starts preschool on Wednesday. Jeremiah has been having to go to a lot of court dates for work, meaning a ton of extra hours. And I am also getting all my lesson plans ready to start my own preschool in September.(Still looking to fill up 2 spots by the way) Needless to say we are going to be super busy!

Although packing and moving is a pain. I secretly like to do it. Not the whole boxes and lifting heavy things but the setting up house part. I love having new spaces to decorate. Lets hope for a smooth move!
