A little to blog happy...

So I haven been a little blog happy these days. And even if nobody really cares, it gives me something to do. This is my little sister Lee. And no those aren't goofy glasses. They are eye patches. (Argh, like a pirate) A few weeks ago Bode got pink eye. We had it for few days and with antibiotics it went away. I was all worried that I would get it. So after a few days of no pink eye I figured we were all safe. Then like a week later Lee got it!! BAD. We thought it would go away as fast as Bode's but when it didn't she went to the doctor and turns out that in all the trying to get pink eye goof out of her eye she scratched it. So she had a patch over her left eye. Then last week has eye got all red again. So another trip to the doctor, and she came home with two patches! She had scratched both eyes. They aren't to sure how but she probably did it in her sleep. Poor girl! She is well on her way to recovery now.

Stoudemire

"Stat" for short

Thanks for all this voting input. That was fun for us. Jeremiah wanted some kind of sports name. I wanted something different. He won. First is was "Oden" or "Durrant" for the NBA draft. Then it was "Hank". Then we wanted a Suns name to I thought of "Nash" but "Stoudemire" was more fun and Stat if a fun little nickname for short.

So far so good with little guy. He is really good at whining when he needs to go potty. The only inside oppsies he has had are at night, and it was on the newspaper in the laundry room. so that is alright. Bode is way jealous. Stat cannot sit on my lap when Bode is around. It becomes a war of who really gets to sit on mom's lap. He also has decided to get attention by crying at everything that he can think of. I hope this is not a foreshadowing of things to come. Because if it is I don't think we can have more kids with Bode's jealousy issues!! (Just kidding)

wHat iS My nAmE!?!

So Yeah!! We got our little boxer puppy today. We are way excited about having him join our family!! But we are at a loss for his name!! Jeremiah said this is harder than naming our son. So if anyone has any ideas PLEASE send then our way. Hopefully by this time tomorrow we can call him something other than puppy.

Bode is already loving this little guy! He is so curious about him. He just laughs and laughs at him. I hope they will be great pals!

Just another day in paradise

Happy Birthday Jeremiah!! Can you believe this guy is 24? Jer went camping and fishing on his birthday. Bode and I surprised him with a steak dinner with brownies and ice cream to top it off. Too bad the Suns couldn't pull off a win for his birthday. Jeremiah put in the garden this weekend. No pictures yet, but soon. He worked really hard to get his 16x16 garden in. Hopefully it will be a success.

Who knows why this kids loves my bras!?! But he sure does. I like this little picture. I wanted him to look at me but anytime you call his name he laughs and runs away. He took a nose dive off a chair at church yesterday and got a pretty good bruise and cut on his head. I heard him screaming clear on the other side of the building in my primary class.

sO dAng CloSe...

So we REALLY want a boxer puppy. There really aren't a lot of options to get your hands on a pet up here. There are no pet stores or anything like that. So I put my name in at the Human Shelter to call me when they get one in like 2 months ago. They called me on Monday afternoon to tell me they have one. So we rushed in to see him. A 10 month old fawn. Really a good dog, very even tempered. So we tuned in an adoption application so we could have him by the end of the week. He wasn't fixed and they wont release them until they are. They called me this morning to tell me the owners had claimed him yesterday afternoon. Bummer!! I guess we will have to wait a little bit longer. We will have to make a trip down to the valley to get one. So everyone keep your ears open for boxer puppies around.

CaMpinG!

What a fun weekend. We went camping with the Davis's and Mandile's. We plan on doing two camp outs a year. One when school ends in the spring and one right before school starts at the end of summer.

It was way fun. We rode quads, ate good food, and got really dirty! At the end of summer it had been all rainy so there was hardly and dust, but this time we were covered!! The babies were so DIRTY!

Bode is our little trooper. I think he loved camping. He loved walking around in the woods. If you weren't watching then he would just take off. He would grab sticks, rocks and pine cones and jibber-jabber to them the whole time. He also was mesmerised by the fire. He wanted to throw stuff in it.

We also went fishing for a tiny bit. The lake is not kid friendly. It was to steep and if they tried to walk they would just tumble right in. Bode did a good face plant right into the dirt. (last pic)

All and all it was really great. Jer and I had a bit of car trouble on the way home though. We actually borrowed my parents motor home, so it was motor home trouble. On the way back up the dirt road something came loose on one of the fittings and we lost oil pressure so Jer pulled over right away and checked it out. Turns out all the oil was gone. If you don't know a lot about cars then you don't know the severity of this problem. Lets just say driving any further and we would have blown the engine. And a motor home is no good without a motor. So we flagged down some other campers

and got 5 quarts of oil. My handy man fixed it and we were on our way 2 hours later. Good thing Bode slept the whole time.

It was very nice to go home and take a shower. After camping shower is one of the best.

Six unusual things about me...

1. I love "Friends". I have all 10 seasons and watch them religiously. I can almost always guess episode and season when they come on tv.

2. I cannot sleep with the closet door open. I don't know why. It has nothing to do with monsters coming out to get me. But I think it is more along the lines of I am a clean freak... except when it comes to closets. They are always messy. So I just have to shut the door.

3. I set my alarm clock every morning for 6:00 to go running. Do I ever go...NO. I always feel like I can a night, but my bed is so cozy. I end up going at night instead. 4. I hate "MOM JEANS". Enough said. This is one of my favorite snl clips:

5. My feet are not symmetrical. I have one longer toe on my right foot than on my left. My family gets a kick out of this. And they always point it out for me... like I don't know:)

6. I loved "The Torkelsons". You know, it was on Disney years ago. With Dorthy Jane... Dear man in the moon. Why don't they make good old show like that any more.

Snow flurries in the high country

So our weekend was very uneventful. All day Saturday it was cruddy weather. We even has a little snow. Nothing stuck, but it was dang cold outside! Jeremiah was all bummed because he could do anything outside.

Bode has been a stinker. He has been sick all week and now that he is better he is just being rotten. All he wants is to be held or he screams. He also has been waking up at night for no apparent reason other than to cry. So we let him cry it out. Normally it works but he has taken to crying for like an hour! Hopefully he will get back on his routine soon. Just in time to go camping. We are getting really getting exited about going camping this weekend. Only like 4 more days. I can't wait to ride quads. And this maybe silly but I am looking forward to Bode getting all dirty and hopefully enjoying this camping experience.

Bode has figured out climbing. He likes the drawer under the stove. Not the safest place, were are working on getting him to play other places. But I caught him climbing in the dryer, again another unsafe place. He may be a pain, but he is getting to be so much fun.
