you gotta go.
This is progress. He had to go and we were on our way back from Pinetop. He said he had to pee. So we stopped and he went. He even had a pull-up on for the long car ride, but he didn't use it. He is getting better at the potty. Not where near potty trained, but better. He wears underwear all day. But only at home.
Warning poop story below:
One night I was tucking him in we were talking about pooping on the potty. I told him if he could go three times we would go to the store and pick out a Thomas Toy. He must have really internalized this because the next day he, all by himself, went to poop on the potty. With no luck though. We coached him to just push it out. But he told us it was stuck. The next day we went to my uncles funeral. Bode was quietly playing with a toy on the bench when all the sudden he looks up at Jer and says, " I pushn' Dad, I pushn'!" So they ran to the potty, but again it was to late.Yesterday I heard some movement in the bathroom, then excited little steps running down the hall. He busts around the corner and yells "I did it!". So Jer and I hustle to the bathroom and sure enough there was a little nugget in the bottom of the bowl. Bode was beaming with pride. I was hoping that this would be the start of getting pooping down on the potty, but sadly no. We will just keep trying.
Oh, Bode is going to love you some day for posting this picture of his cute little booty for the world wide web to see :) Too cute! Good luck with the potty/poopy training! And hey, I keep forgetting to ask, did you get the bow I sent? I sure hope so, sorry it took me forever to send it!
ReplyDeleteAt least he'll pee at a tree!! When we were out all day on Brian's bday, watching the races, and going riding... Kernan WOULDN'T pee on a bush! And he's completely potty trained! We had to take him to an port-a-pottie!! Little stinker! At least he held it!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry the potty training will happen! See ya soon!! :)
