September 2013...

I'm a lame blogger. I used to be so good but life is busy. I don't like busy but that is just how things are these days with no end sight. So I am just going to try to catch up so hopefully I can get back on track before the holiday season. Here is September in a nutshell...

Although Piper turned 2 in October she decided to start the terrible 2's early. She can frequently be seen throughout the day in various temper tantrum poses through our house.

Afternoons are nice and quiet at my house. Piper and Bode are at school and Piper naps. If I manage to have thing under control at the house I often take a nap as well. If I do lay down I can almost always count on Harry to come find me to take a nap too. Cats are good at hiding through  the noise and coming out in the quiet.

Just growing too fast. She looks too big for the crib.

Whenever I get ready in the morning, the girls make their way into the bathroom to take a bath. They love the water and I love that if they are in the tub with me in the bathroom then they aren't making messes in the house.

It may be hard to see but Piper is naked out there. She is in an anti clothes phase right now. I think Bode was showing her ants.

Just another tantrum.

Cleaning dishes. Laine was very concerned that there was water everywhere.

Bode is always trying to make a little money. He wants to do stands to sell stuff. This particular day he set up a bike wash.

Playing with Daisy at Grandma and Grandpa Brooks house. We are lucky to have family around.

2nd grade school picture. His last school picture with his baby teeth. I know lots of people don't care for school pictures and don't buy them. I always buy the cheapest package I can. I prefer more casual pictures for our wall. I love to see the school picture changes every year.

Jer and I worked on lots of projects around the house. His hands were dirty from the car. Mine were from spray painting.

Bode did a school fundraiser. They collected money for each lap they ran. It was great. I didn't have to but a load of crap to support the school.

Laine played soccer. I'm not sure she really liked it or got what it was all about but she did like being a part of something.

Piper spend Saturday game mornings laying on my lap eating snacks.

Bode scored his first touchdown!!!
He is really coming along in football. He still isn't very aggressive but is understanding the game more and more.

The weather finally cooled down enough for us to open doors and play outside. It always seems to happen when I feel like I can't stand another 100 degree day or I'll die. Now I remember why I love the desert.
