Don't let this face fool you.
Bode is all potty trained. He hasn't had an accident in a very long time. Yay! We actually taught him something he will use for the rest of his life. But we now have a problem. Well maybe a couple.
- Three times now I have found a container full of well... um...ya... pee. He is peeing in containers around the house! A bucket, toy container and toy pot. {Don't worry I have bleached, sanitized and washed each one of these items.} When I asked him why he did it he just laughed. Yuck! I guess the whole pee standing up thing is cool. Dang kid. What am I supposed to do about this!?!
- He also has decided that it is ok to pee anywhere outside. Like walking with dad at Monster Jam. He had to pee so he just pulls his pants down and goes. Or when he is at Grandma's house, right off the side of the trampoline. Again, I am glad he isn't going in his pants but how do I get this to stop!?!
Any ideas on breaking these bad habits? Or just hope that he will grow out of them? {he is a boy, and boys love bathroom humor. maybe it won't go away}
At least you bathroom will stay clean.
ReplyDeleteDid you train him on a kid potty or a real toilet?
ReplyDeleteyou should read my sister in law's blog {laura} Mavers pees everywhere, too. she's got good pictures of him peeing into a gas can with a spout...and of "lemonade" in a bowl. i think it's just something they do and grow out of...maybe...
ReplyDeleteOne of my sister's little boys has been peeing in his toys lately as well. I guess they just can't be bothered to walk to the toilet.
ReplyDeleteMy son pees outside all the time. As time passes it gets better. My thought is we teach them when you gotta go- GO, I think in their head that is what they do. My son will also pee in odd places but that is usually when he is half a asleep. Eventually they will grow out of it. Also a little tidbit to pass along if your shower and toilet are next to each other.... I frequently wash the shower curtain. I figured this out when I could not get the smell of pee out of the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteUm... boys will be boys. When Joseph was little, he was at the pool with the family.
ReplyDeleteJoseph: "I have to pee, mom."
Mom: "Go in the pool, then, honey."
So she goes under water and comes up hearing everyone laughing. Joseph was standing outside the pool and peeing IN the pool. HAAHAHA!
